We are a unique safe shelter in Kenya that caters for boys and young men who need healing from stigma and trauma. We help and support our clients through their journey of healing and recovery so they can build resilience and take care of themselves.
Our Halfway House is a beacon of hope, healing and transformation for survivors and overcomers of wrongful incarceration, exploitation, neglect, violence or sexual abuse. It is a safe haven where boys can heal, regain their strength, and rewrite the stories of their lives.
The Halfway House Program was established in November 2021 and has so far, provided a safe space for 7 exceptional young men. At full capacity, we are able to provide shelter to 14 boys and 6 young men at a time.
During their stay, the program offers housing, life skills training, coaching, mentoring, therapy and after-care support. Those who exit the program are be able to go back to school and become more resilient and self-reliant.
Apart from providing shelter to boys and young men, we also use our Halfway House for running income-generating projects. First, we are rearing poultry, dairy goats and rabbits. Secondly, we are engaging in bicycle-related businesses. Thridly, we are teaching boys and young men hands-on skills in farming and other employable skills.
We are using our projects to grow our own food, sell farm produce in the local market and provide work for our boys and young men.
