We believe that discovering potential enables children to thrive in life and contribute towards community well-being. This isn’t just a dream at Lifesong Kenya, it is our daily mission in action. We collectively believe that great futures start here – and come alive through our various programs and activities.
We are incredibly excited to share a powerful new video that has been created in collaboration with Emerge Lens. This collaboration is part of their inspiring “Spread the Mission” campaign, which seeks to amplify community service. This timely partnership has enabled us to capture the heart of our mission at Lifesong Kenya. As a result, we are able to showcase the hopes, dreams, resilience and the infinite potential of our boys.
The ‘Great Futures Start Here’ video isn’t just a collection of beautiful shots. It is a glimpse into the profound transformation happening through our programs. In the video, you will witness our mission in action. You will see the determination in a boy’s eyes as he kicks a soccer ball on the field. You will be drawn by the focus in his gaze as he learns a new skill. Lastly, you will witness the companionship that is built through our shared experiences.
Why ‘Great Futures Start Here’?
Each video frame tells a story of a boy who, despite facing immense challenges, is choosing a different path. It is a true testament to the fact that with the right support, care, coaching, mentorship and opportunities, every individual can rewrite their life story.

The title of the video captures the very essence and heartbeat of Lifesong Kenya as an initiative. For many of the boys we work with, the path they were on seemed predetermined. Our role as staff, volunteers and community of donors is to interrupt that narrative, through:
- Coaching and mentorship: Guiding boys and young men to make positive choices and develop integrity and strong character
- Transformative justice: Helping boys and young men to understand the impact of their actions, negative peer pressure and find paths to healing, reconciliation and restoration.
- Sports and community: Providing a healthy outlet for raw energy, youth enthusiasm, teaching teamwork, discipline and belonging through cycling, football and community outreach.
- Education and vocational skills: Equipping boys with the tools they need for their self-sufficiency, independence and hands-on skills that can lead to job creation and self-employment.
We are fostering an environment where past mistakes do not define future possibilities. Instead, they become lessons learned on the journey toward a brighter tomorrow.
